  • 7 or More Runs (Streak Pick)- Instead of a straight up prop, this prop is asking how many runs will be scored in the game between the Mets and the DBacks. Pitching for the DBacks will be Ian Kennedy, who has been pretty bad this year, compiling a 5.36 ERA. In his last start against the Braves, he lasted only 4.1 innings and allowed 4 ER and allowed 9 batters to reach base. The two starts before that he was pretty decent, allowing only 3 runs in 12 innings. However, four starts ago he lasted only 4 innings, allowing 10 runs. Kennedy's struggles have really come on the road, where he is playing, as his ERA is a whopping 5.81 away from home. The Mets will send Dillon Gee to the mound, who, like Kennedy, has not had a great year so far. He enters 6-7 with a 4.60 ERA. However, he has pitched very well in recent games, allowing only 10 runs in his past 5 starts. He has also been dominant at home, as his ERA is very low at 2.88. So, as you can see, there is no very dominant pitcher starting in this matchup, so runs should come fairly easily. So far this series, there have been 7 runs scored in all the games, as the first game had 9 runs scored, the second game had 10 runs scored and the most recent game had 8 runs scored. Since both offenses are performing well and there is no shutdown pitcher on the bump, 7 runs should be a fairly easy total to reach. Currently, the over/under is actually up at 8, so 7 should be easy.

  • LA Galaxy Win (Streak Pick)- Here we have an MLS matchup for our second and final streak pick of the day. The Galaxy enter 7-3-7 (W-D-L), and are currently sitting in 5th place in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Columbus Crew enter 5-5-7, which puts them in 7th place of the Eastern Conference. At home this year, the Galaxy have gone 4-2-1, with a +10 goal differential, as they have only allowed 2 goals at home. The draws came against 2nd place Portland and last place Chivas USA, although that was the second game of the season. The one loss came against Houston, who is in 5th place in the Eastern Conference. They have gone 1-1-3 in their last 5, although to be fair only 1 of those matches was at home (the draw). Columbus, meanwhile, enters 3-2-4 on the road, where they have a -1 goal differential. Columbus has not won or drawn a match on the road since May 26th against the Red Bulls (they are on a 2 game road losing streak,) where they played to a 2-2 draw. They have not been in good form lately, going 1-1-3, with 2 of those losses coming on the road and 1 coming at home. However, they did surprise everyone by beating the first place Montreal Impact by 2 at home. The Galaxy are huge favorites to win at home here, as they are -200 to win while Columbus is only at +163 to win or draw. I expect the dominant Galaxy home defense to shut down Columbus and limit them to one or no goals, and for the Galaxy offense to score at least 2 at home.
