Good day overall yesterday, but that Stanford game was really a killer.

  • 5 or Fewer
  • Real  Betis @ Zaragoza
For our first suggested pick of the day, we have a Spanish Primera League game. Betis enters in 5th place in the league at 9-1-7, good for 28 points. However, they actually have a negative goal differential, at -2. Meanwhile, Zaragoza enters in the middle of table at 7-1-9, good for 22 points with a -4 goal differential. Looking closer, Betis has actually been spectacular on the road, going 5-1-2, or winning this prop 6 out of 8 times. Meanwhile, Zaragoza has been mediocre at home, going 3-0-5, or winning this prop 3 out of 8 times. Betis has been in great road form of late, going 3-0-1 in their last 4 with a goal differential of 0, mostly because of a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Sevilla. Meanwhile, Zaragoza has been in okay home form of late, going 2-0-2 in their past 4 with a goal differential of +1. Currently, the odds have Zaragoza to win at +120, while Betis to win or draw is at -163.

My Pick: Real Betis (Suggested Pick)
Why: They are the better team here, and have not been too bad on the road. I expect them to either draw this game 1-1 or hold Zaragoza scoreless and win 1-0.
  • Valparaiso DD Win
  • Hawks @ Pistons
Here we have an NBA matchup for our second suggested pick of the day. The Hawks enter 20-10 with a 9-5 away record. Meanwhile, Detroit enters at 12-22 with a home record of barely over .500 at 9-8. The Hawks average 97.9 points per game this season while giving up 95.6. Meanwhile, the Pistons offense has only managed to average 95.1 points per game this season, but their defense has been okay and only allows an average of 96.6. In their last 10, Atlanta is 6-4 while Detroit is 5-5 (Detroit is on a three game winning streak). Detroit recently lost to Atlanta on the road in overtime by the score of 126-119.

My Pick: Atlanta Hawks (Suggested Pick)
Why: Atlanta is currently favored at -1, which comes as a surprise to me, as I would think they would be favored by more. However, I think they pull this one out.
  • Tennessee
  • Boston Celtics
  • Texas AM Aggies
  • Damien Williams+Landry Jones
  • Bulls Win or Single Digit Loss
  • Houston Rockets
  • Utah Jazz
  • 2 or Fewer
  • Los Angeles Lakers @ Los Angeles Clippers
For our final suggested pick of the day, we have a battle of Los Angeles, as the Clippers take on their rival Lakers. The Lakers have not lived up to the hype this season, and are just under .500 at 15-16. Meanwhile, the Clippers have the second best record in the league at 25-8. The Lakers are averaging 102.8 points this season while allowing 100.3. Meanwhile, the Clippers have a slightly worse offense, as they are only scoring 101.4 points per game, but have a much better defense that is only allowing 92.9 points per game. In their last 10, the Clippers have been red hot at 8-2, and recently had a very long win streak snapped. The Lakers have gone 6-4 in their last 10, which is an improvement from the beginning of the season.

My Pick: Los Angeles Clippers (Suggested Pick)
Why: They are favored by 5 points here and beat the Lakers in their only meeting this season in the beginning of the year. Expect a 5-10 point win.
  • Kobe Bryant Points
  • 51 or Fewer
