  • Tennessee 15+
  • Raptors
  • Seattle Seahawks
  • Russell Wilson+Marshawn Lynch @ Matt Ryan+Michael Turner
Here we have a prop in which Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch need to record more total yards than Matt Ryan and Michael Turner in the first half. I'm going to start off this writeup by looking at the pair of Seahawks. In his last 5 games, Russell Wilson is averaging 192 yards passing per game, which is 96 yards per half. To go along with this, he has averaged 52 yards rushing in his last 5 games, and therefore averages about 26 yards per half. Therefore, we can expect Wilson to accumulate about 125 yards in the first half. Meanwhile, Lynch has averaged 116 yards per game in his last 5 games, and therefore we can expect him to record about 58 yards rushing in the first half. Also, we can expect him to get about one reception for maybe 5-10 yards, so expect about 65 total yards from him. Therefore, we can expect about 190-200 total yards from the pair of Seahawks. Also, the Falcons defense is ranked 23rd in pass defense and 21st in run defense, so they allow a lot of yards. Meanwhile, Matt Ryan has averaged about 258 yards per game passing in his last 5 games. Therefore, we can expect about 129 passing yards from him in the first half. Meanwhile, we can expect about 6 rush yards to go along with that, so expect Ryan to record about 140 yards by himself. Meanwhile, Michael Turner has averaged 42 yards per game in his last 5 games, which is about 21 yards in the first half. Also, we can expect him to record about 5-10 yards receiving, so expect about 30 yards from him. Therefore, we can expect this Falcons pair to record about 170 yards. However, Seattle is ranked 6th in passing defense and 10th in rushing defense, so they do not allow a lot of yards. Therefore, the SM is giving Seattle pickers a 20-30 yard cushion.

My Pick: Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch (Suggested Pick)
  • Michigan Wolverines @ Ohio State Buckeyes
For another suggested pick, we have undefeated Michigan traveling to Ohio State. Ohio State enters 12-3 and 9-1 at home. In their last 10, they have gone 8-2 with a loss on the road to ranked Illinois(by 19 points), and at home to ranked Kansas (by 8 points). However, they are coming off a 10 point road win against Purdue on the road. At home this season, Ohio State plays great offense, scoring 79.5 points per game while only allowing 53.7. Meanwhile, as I mentioned before, Michigan is undefeated at 16-0 and therefore has a 2-0 road record. Opponents have not been able to come to within 10 points of them in their last 10 games. That means they have won by double digits in their last 10 games. On the road, they play incredible offense, scoring 84 points per game, but only play okay defense, allowing 66 points per game.

My Pick: Michigan Wolverines (Suggested Pick)
Why: They seem to play pretty well on the road and Ohio State has not been a great team lately. I think they win this one and stay undefeated.
