  • Fairfield Stags @ Loyola Maryland
Here we have something that will become a Friday night tradition, an MAAC game. Tonight, it will be the Fairfield Stags traveling to Loyola Maryland. Fairfield enters 10-6 with a 5-5 road record, but they are hot lately going 7-3 in their last 10. However, they are coming off a road loss to Niagara by 4 points. On the road, they do not play good offense, only being able to score 62.4 points per game while allowing 62.1. Meanwhile, Loyola enters 11-5 with a 6-2 home record, and they are only 6-4 in their last 10. However, they are coming off two home wins by 6 points and 16 points. They play great offense at home, scoring 69.1 points per game while only allowing 59.5.

My Pick: Loyola Maryland (Suggested Pick)
Why: They are favored by 3 points at home, and seem to be the better team here. I think they easily win this game.
  • Utah Jazz @ Atlanta Hawks
Here we have an NBA matchup between the Utah Jazz and Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks enter 20-14, with an 11-6 record at home. In their last 10, they are 5-5, and are currently on a 4 game losing streak. However, 3 of those losses came on the road, while the other one came at home to the Celtics. The Hawks score 96.7 points per game and only allow 95.6. Meanwhile, Utah enters 19-18, with an 8-14 road record. In their last 10, they are also 5-5 with 4 of those losses coming on the road and three of those wins coming on the road. They average 98.6 points per game but allow 98.9.

My Pick: Atlanta Hawks (Suggested Pick)
Why: The Hawks are very good at home and the Jazz are a mediocre road team. I expect the Hawks to cruise to victory here, as they are favored by 4.

  • Minnesota Timberwolves
  • Memphis Grizzlies
  • New York Knicks
  • Carmelo Anthony 1st Quarter Points @ Luol Deng 1st Half Points
This is an interesting prop we have here. Luol Deng is currently averaging 16.6 points per game on the road, while playing 39.5 minutes. Therefore, we can assume he scores about 8 or 9 points in the first half. In his last two games, he has scored 18 and 19 points while averaging 36 minutes per game, so it isn't like he is cold of late. Meanwhile, Carmelo Anthony enters scoring 29.5 points per game at home, while averaging 35.5 minutes. However, I do believe he plays most of the first quarter, and assuming he plays 10 minutes in that quarter, he will score about 8 or 9 points. However, he is just coming off a suspension, so the question is will he come a little rusty, or will he come out like his usual self? Also, a lot of Carmelo's points come in crunch time in the fourth quarter, so he usually takes it easy in the first quarter. However, right now, it looks like these two are about even, with Deng averaging about 8 or 9 and Carmelo averaging about 8 or 9. However, I believe Carmelo will not come out throwing up 3s and Luol Deng will have a solid first half.

My Pick: Luol Deng (Suggested Pick)
  • Wright State Raiders @ Loyola-Chicago
Here we have a Horizon league matchup between Wright State and Loyola-Chicago. Wright State enters 12-4 with a 3-3 record on the road. They are red hot in their last 10, going 8-2 and riding a 4 game winning streak, losing to Cinci and Bowling Green on the road. However, they were able to defeat Hofstra by 6 on the road. In the Horizon league, they are 3-0. They score only 58.7 points per game on the road, but they only allow 59.8. Meanwhile, Loyola-Chicago enters 10-5 with a 5-1 home record, the loss coming to Youngstown State, which contributed to their 1-2 Horizon league record. In their last 10, they are 7-3 but are currently on a 2 game losing streak. At home, they score a lot more points than Wright State, averaging 69 points per game, but allow about the same amount at 59.4.

My Pick: Wright State Raiders (Suggested Pick)
Why: These two teams are about even, but I think Loyola-Chicago is currently hitting a cold streak in their season. Right now, the line is -4 in favor of Loyola-Chicago, which is surprising, but I think Wright State pulls it out.
